Getting Started

Startup Costs

• A one-time non-refundable $30.00 administrative fee is the only fee you will pay that does not cover actual tutoring.
  
• We ask you to pre-pay for five sessions. Which are completely refundable with 24 hour notice of cancellation. After you have used your five prepaid sessions, your credit card will be billed at the beginning of the month following tutoring for the number of hours of tutoring that took place. Your child initials the tutor’s timesheet at the conclusion of each session. Copies are available from our office upon request.
• There is no long-term agreement required.  You may discontinue service at any time with 24 hour notice.  If you chose to cancel, any credit balance on your account will be fully refunded.
• There is no charge for travel time. Billing occurs only when we meet with your child.
• We bill by credit card only.  We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
  
  We do not accept personal checks or cash.
  Your credit card information will be always be kept completely confidential.

Tutoring

• You will arrange the schedule directly with the tutor, so you can meet as frequently or as infrequently as your child needs.
• We offer private one-on-one tutoring in your home. Therefore, a parent or guardian must be present while a tutor is in your home. If a parent or guardian is unavailable tutors will meet students at mutually agreed-upon public locations such as libraries. This policy also applies to adult students There are NO exceptions to this policy.
• At your request, initial consultations with teachers and/or guidance counselors, with the tutor present, are provided at no cost to you. Dr. Ralph G. Perrino, Director, is also available at any time to discuss issues or concerns at no additional cost.
• Tutoring services cannot begin until a signed contract has been received in our office. Upon receipt of the signed contract, a tutor will be in contact with you to arrange a date, time, and place to meet with your child. Your credit card will not be billed until the first tutoring session has been scheduled.

Other Terms

• There is never any administrative charge for adding additional tutors, either for the student currently being tutored or a sibling, or for switching tutors for any reason, from personality conflicts to scheduling changes.
  
• There is a minimum one-hour charge per session. Billing beyond one hour per session is calculated in quarter hour increments.
